Artists Making Waves
The Town of Collingwood Ontario commissioned me to create their Art Awards.
I created Olympic Metal sized pendants. My design resembles artists pallets with ripples emanating from the center hole and the backs vary for the category of the award. Youth, Adult, Group. Scroll down to see the picture. The hole of the pallet is the big toe of the footprints on the other side.
(the town of Collingwood is on Georgian Bay)
I created them as a 3D model in Maya (they had to be converted to Rhyno) and then had a master printed with a 3D printer and then had a foundry create molds from the master 3d print.
When I was commissioned to make more prints for future years I experimented with patinas.
