Entropy [short Film]
Synopsis
A cross between Baraka, the Fountain and Requim for a Dream, and employing a very Eril Morris sensibility. Entropy is a revolution in stereoscopic cinema. Subject matter like this has never been attempted in this medium. The specific use of POV in stereo has such a powerful effect that, at the moments it is employed, you the viewer become the character. The film draws parallels between addiction in its rawest form to our societies addictions to products and processes that are killing our planet and will eventually kill us.
In a surreal melting world of sexual landscapes, the film follows the orgasmic progression of a storm. We follow an ill fated love story between an addict and a metamorphozising woman. Although their love is not meant to be, something is planted in their brief union that is larger than either of them. The realization of the co dependence blocking their ability to heal themselves mirrors the co dependence of our consumer society.
